LED Commercial lighting – More light, big savings
Recessed or suspended ceiling lights with panels of 600×600 or 600×1200 can make significant savings on energy costs.
Replacing existing fluorescent recessed or suspended ceiling lights with LED panels is a fast and easy way to enjoy significant savings on energy costs. There are very compelling reasons to switch; with a payback of around 1-2 years or less depending on installation, cleaning, tube replacement and disposal costs. LED panels have been designed to be highly cost effective and with energy prices only going up – now is a good time to make the investment and switch.
The size of the LED panel you need is determined by your existing ceiling grid structure. Once the old panel is removed the new LED panel can be quickly fitted into place.
With traditional fluorescent panels up to 40% of the light can be lost within the panel reflectors. LED panels deliver a wider beam angle with more usable light, consuming less power when compared to fluorescent fittings.
A typical florescent 600 x 600mm panel with four tubes will consume approx. 88w. The tubes will lose their brightness over the first thousand hours to approx. 74% with typical life span of approx. 10,000 hours. Also up to 40% of light output is lost within the fitting.
A typical LED 600 x 600mm ceiling panel will consume approx. 40w with slightly brighter light output than new florescent tubes with no output degradation. Typical life span is 30,000 hours.
